
CodeMeter Control Center is software that serves to locally configure a license server for CodeMeter. By default, the license server is installed as a service and automatically starts when the computer starts.
You must have CodeMeter Control Center on the following computers:
computer where users use NAPA software
the server computer for license hosting (only for network license configuration)
The roles of CodeMeter Control Center depend on the computers and the license configuration types as shown in Table 1: “Roles of CodeMeter Control Center”.

The installers of classic NAPA, NAPA Designer, and NAPA Drafting also install CodeMeter Control Center.
You must manually install CodeMeter Control Center on a server computer for license hosting.

When you install CodeMeter Runtime, all the necessary components for CodeMeter, including CodeMeter Control Center, are installed.
Who needs to do this task?
Usually, users who set up the network license configuration.
Note
Installation of CodeMeter Control Center is usually needed only on the server computer for license hosting.
The installers (classic NAPA, NAPA Designer, and NAPA Drafting) automatically install it on the computer where users use NAPA software. You need to install CodeMeter Control Center manually on the computers where users use NAPA software only if you have any issues.
Before you start
Make sure you have the needed installers.
Run the installer as administrator.
In the Welcome to the CodeMeter Runtime Kit dialog box, select Next.
In the End-User License Agreement dialog box:
Read the License Agreement.
Select I accept the terms in the License Agreement.
Select Next.
In the Installation Scope dialog box:
Enter User name and Organization.
Select either one of the following:
Install just for you
Install for all users of this machine
Select Next.
In the Custom Setup dialog box, select Next.
Select Install.
The installation starts.
To complete the installation, select Finish.
